Sun and Beach
The Costa Cálida will not disappoint lovers of water and nautical activities. All along the Murcian coastline, a wide variety of sports can be practised right on the beach.
La Manga’s privileged location makes it the perfect place for water sports such as canoeing, windsurfing, diving, water skiing, fly surfing and rowing. The calm waters of the Mar Menor are the ideal setting for beginners in sailing, while the waves on the Mediterranean side of La Manga are a challenge for fans of more extreme sports such as windsurfing or kitesurfing.
The marine biological reserve of Cabo de Palos and Islas Hormigas, belonging to La Manga, stands out for its beauty and the good conservation of the seabed, which has made it one of the favourite diving destinations in Spain.
In fact, the reserve’s seabed was declared the best diving destination on the European continent in 2015.
In this area, the facilities of the Mar Menor Nautical Station stand out. They are a set of nautical, sports and tourist infrastructures, training and leisure establishments grouped together in a common space: the whole of the Mar Menor and La Manga. There you can receive a tailor-made holiday plan, regardless of age and level in the different sports. It is, without a doubt, a good way to take advantage of all the possibilities offered by nautical tourism.
